Vintage Urban Metropolitan Building Wedding
Brianne + Alex’s Vintage Urban Metropolitan Building Wedding elegantly captured that old New York feel you’d expect from a 1900’s city space. This gem was built in 1909, the same year as the Queensboro Bridge. Another NYC icon you can see in the not too far distance. While it long sat vacant, it is now a glorious place to let your romantic imagination run free.
Brianne explains why she and Alex chose this location to begin their story as husband and wife. “Everything about the Metropolitan Building was beautiful. From its old bookshelves to its vintage prop-house on the third floor. The possibilities were endless when it came to decorating the venue. We loved the idea of mixing vintage with urban.” A perfect fit for these two film creatives!
There is something about the intimacy of a wedding that touches us deeply. When we are welcomed into a couple’s circle to witness personal, intimate moments, we are moved. Brianne and Alex, you are two beautifully quiet, very creative souls. We are overwhelmed with joy and appreciation that you invited us to be a part of your lives. We will not forget these moments. Thank you!
Soft vintage hues like peach, cream, and sage with accents of black and gold perfectly decorate the space. To incorporate romantic flowers with a vintage look, garden roses and dahlias star in this gorgeous bouquet. Brianne explains, “Jenah (of Xylem & Phloem) has an amazing eye for mixing textures to create something beautifully unique.” Brianne + Alex wanted a ceremony that was both beautiful and personal. And that it was. A good friend officiated while the couple read their own vows. Not to mention the reading of a touching poem written by the groom. With a gallery frame seating chart and framed calligraphy table numbers, B+A tied together a vintage, film look. Delectable sweets with a cupcake tier that doubles as a centerpiece, sheer confectionary genius! A dance off between a clearly polished dancer and the bride’s brother. Warm laughter and smiles… and a sweet serenade end a most beautiful night.
Thank you so much to a wonderfully creative team of vendors. You helped make this wedding absolutely beautiful!
