Claire + Joe | Belvoir Winery Wedding | Liberty, MO
In the strength of love there is limitless power and beauty.
This cool spring morning clouds were heavy and grey and hinted at no intention of leaving. If you are from the midwest, you know the weather here is anything but predictable. Especially in April. However, one thing we could count on were Joe and Claire being well, amazing.
I think we are most moved at weddings to see the depth of love a couple and their families have for one another. Sometimes it’s in the emotion of seeing each other for the first time, a quiet expression or touch of a hand. And sometimes, most impressively, it’s when the unexpected happens. Joe and Claire had many unexpected moments leading up to their wedding. With two close family members battling cancer and a sweet flower girl who got sick the night before the wedding, this family has had their share of obstacles.
So when an entire family looks on in the distance with tears in their eyes for a couple’s first look, you feel it. And when a flower girl pulls herself out of bed because she can’t bear to miss her Aunt Claire’s wedding, you melt. When the bride has both moms help her get ready and has a reveal with both dads, it makes perfect sense when you see it. And when the sun pierces a dark sky that promised nothing but rain, you stand back in awe and say thank you. Thank you because so often we get to experience and observe some of the most beautiful expressions of love, beauty and strength.
