Brooklyn Outdoor Wedding
Beth and Seth’s Brooklyn Outdoor Wedding put a chic city twist on the modern outdoor classic.
First, let me tell you a little about this story’s players and the game that brought them together. They met at a soccer camp organized by a mutual friend. When recruiting, they were the first two to respond. The rest is soccor-love history. They met, fell in love and and have been playing together ever since.
The entire wedding took place in Park slope, Brooklyn. Beth’s family gathered in a rented apartment they found on Airbnb to host family from Michigan. This savvy bride also used this fantastic location to get ready. And the private outdoor garden patio set the scene for an intimate first look. Good thing to keep in mind when choosing your getting ready location. Having the first look where the bride is already eliminates traveling and reduces stress. Brilliant bonus! Outdoor natural lighting and privacy lent to romantic moments alone. Always welcome intimate moments when possible, before or after the ceremony.
We took a walk…
on our way to the ceremony through Prospect Park and the local Farmers Market. More fun and magical moments. Bride and groom separated for a moment. Family and friends arrived to a quaint cottage and gardens at the Old Stone House. That same friend that introduced them, officiated their ceremony. They stood together against a backdrop of perfectly pasteled paper flowers. Their outdoor reception was held at the Benchmark Restaurant. Long family style tables were decorated with colorful orange dahlias. The after party was at Loki Bar next door where Seth tried Sushi for the first time. Something he promised in his vows to do. The entire wedding party joined in for a celebratory toast.
It’s still debatable who’s the better soccer player, but clearly these two are on the right team. 🙂
Thank you so much to a wonderfully creative team of vendors. You helped make this wedding absolutely beautiful!
