Blue and Gold Summer Wedding
Bernanda + Daniel’s Blue and Gold Summer Wedding at Westbury Manor was just the splash of summer fun we needed. Boys in blue, girls in etherial white chiffon dresses and a glowing bride in a Cristiano Lucci light blue laced ball gown… visually, what more could you ask for? Oh yes, an amazing couple totally in love!
Bernanda’s Bridesmaid’s held hand-tied whimsical bouquets of White Tulips, Yellow Daffodils, Green Cabbage, Yellow Billy Balls, Dusty Miller and greens. Bernanda chose a hand-tied bouquet of White Roses and minimal greens in different stages of blooms. Daniel’s (aka: Noel) boutonniere was a single white rose while his groomsmen wore a white tulip, all paired with a Yellow Billy Ball.
Their color theme ran clear through the lovely reception space where white vine-textured linens topped tables with arrangements of Gladiolus, White Hydrangeas, and Curly Willow branches. The tall unintrusive arrangements accompanied medium and short vase arrangements with dendrobium orchids and floating candles. A sparkly gold topped sweetheart and cake table brought the glam factor way up and tied this Blue and Gold Summer Wedding full circle.
The back story that lead to this beautiful summer wedding…
Bernanda explains, “I met Daniel through my brother in-law. We’ve always bumped into each other, but never said anything more than just hello. We finally had a conversation after my brother Inlaw gave him my number and he called me. That night we spoke for hours on the phone. It truly felt like I was talking to a friend. We soon developed a friendship and shortly after we started dating.
Daniel proposed to me on June 5th 2015. What I thought was a typical day at Central Park turned out to be one of the best days of my life. We had a picnic, we ate and played games. One of the games that we played was putting a puzzle together. It took me about 20 minutes to complete it. When I was finally done, I realized it was a picture of a ring! I looked up at Noel and he was already down on one knee. That’s when he asked me to marry him.”
“Noel and I are pretty laid back. We didn’t really have a specific vision for our wedding day. We just wanted a wedding that honored Jehovah and reflected both of our personalities. The ceremony was very special to us. Today we were sharing this amazing day with our close friends and family. To see the smile on everyone’s faces made us feel loved and supported.”
“Planning a wedding can be emotionally and physically draining.” What is a bride to do? Get help! A capable friend or wedding designer or planner could be just what you need.
“I was fortunate to have someone like Jael Cayemitte (of Table 9 Designs) who I entrusted with the reception. She helped my ideas come to life. I was in love with how the flowers, the centerpieces and the table arrangements looked. It brought an elegant feel to the room.”
Bernanda and Daniel (Noel), you are truly two beautiful people inside and out. We are privilaged to have been witnesses to the beginning of such a lovely story. We wish you much happiness and many more chapters in this amazing tale. Thank you!
