Romantic Industrial Firestone Building Wedding

Kari+Jeremy’s Romantic Industrial Firestone Building Wedding:

To incorporate both his love of the city and her being from the country, Kari+Jeremy chose Kansas City’s historic Firestone Building to celebrate becoming Mr. & Mrs. .  It’s urban feel with unfinished concrete + lush greens, soft candles and gorgeous chandeliers set the perfect juxtaposition for a romantic-industrial feel.  The firestone gave us the freeness to do more details for the guests, and put in our own dash of style.  We brought in our own food, created our own specialty drinks, and arranged the tables in a way that would be more comfortable for guests to socialize.  We didn’t want a party that was focused on us. Rather we wanted to throw a party for the friends and family that have supported us and been there throughout our relationship. We tried to think of our guests when it came to each aspect of the day…

Kari + Jeremy share their favorite part of the day:

I absolutely loved the first look when I got to see my future husband and how happy and handsome he looked.  I also loved riding around on the moped!  Haha!  But, what touched me the most was seeing that emotional side of Jeremy come out during the ceremony.
My favorite part of the day was riding around on the moped with Kari and playing around with the guys.  Also, I loved sitting back at the reception and watching all the guests dance and enjoy themselves!

Kari+Jeremy, we couldn’t be happier for you both!  We are always so excited when two kind, loving and genuinely amazing people find each other and fall in love!  And what’s icing on the cake for us is when we get awesome new friends to boot!
Much Love,
Melanie+Rick
Fantastically classy groom and groomsmen details…

Lookin’ sharp boys!

Doesn’t Jeremy look handsome in this grey wool suit by ASOS?

Kari, we LOVED your understated, elegant Benson dress by BHLDN of Anthropologie!

Is there time for us to take a quick spin on the Vespa…?

(How gorgeous is this hairpiece Kari made with silver dollar eucalyptus, lavender, and hydrangea blooms?)

Beautiful blossoms at the Nelson-Atkins Museum made it a fantastic backdrop for some family fun and pics before the ceremony.

Way to go Kari and on these fabulous DIY bouquets made with family and bridesmaids!  These gorgeous beauties are so soft with with hydrangeas, ranunculus and flowers from Kari’s garden.  Pops of green from seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus add perfect texture and dimension.  All wrapped in vintage handkerchiefs that each girl picked out!

Kari+Jeremy wanted both of their dad’s to have a special part in their ceremony.  So Jeremy’s dad officiated…

…and Kari’s dad did their vows.

Super-sweet cuteness and four tiers of almost-naked cake perfection!

Thank you so much to a wonderfully creative team of vendors, family and friends. You helped make this wedding absolutely beautiful!

I was curious how the vespa played into this story! This album was really emotional and energetic. I may or may not have shed a tear at the photos with the parents. As always, you guys did an amazing job!
