“Wait for someone who could be the moon for you. Just as strong, just as steady, illuminating changes and seas and blooming flowers and summer nights. They’d dance around the sun. They’d receive your primal howls, your secrets, your dreams, and shifting tides. Wait for the moon. Wait for nothing less than what steals your breath. What breaks you open. What lures your soul. What helps you rise.”
Morgan + Philip, you are two beautifully quiet souls that light one another up. Again, we learn from amazing couples like you. Love doesn’t have to be loud or overt to be truly powerful. The kindest words can be spoken in a glance, an embrace or just the lengths someone will go to make us smile or laugh. We love how perfectly you speak to one another sometimes without even a word. Thank you for trusting us to tell your story. We are thrilled to be a part of your journey with you and can’t wait for this spring! xx, Melanie + Rick
We always joke that we met when we were supposed to, because timing is everything!
We technically met online, through a dating site. However, when we first talked to each other on the phone (which both of us hate to do, by the way), our phone conversation lasted over four hours and we found that we have several friends in common. One of our mutual friends had tried to set us up on several different occasions, but we both always said no!
So when the timing was right, we met and immediately knew we were the perfect person for each other.
What I Love…
I love that Morgan makes me smile every day.
I love that Philip makes me laugh every single day.
The proposal happened on a Thursday. Philip had literally picked up the ring that day and couldn’t wait until the weekend—it was burning a hole in his pocket. When I got home from work, I was rushing around, trying to get ready to go run an errand, and Philip followed me upstairs and said, “Well, will you be home right after?” I replied, kind of annoyed (haha) that yes, I would.
And Philip smiled, said, “Good, because I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” and got down on one knee with the ring.
It happened perfectly for us, in our home we had just moved into with our two doggies right there. He definitely pulled off a surprise!
