Erin + Tyler | Weston Red Barn Farm Wedding | Missouri
We pulled up the long dirt road, past the old-world farmhouse and fields and found ourselves on a beautiful green hillside. Being up there looking out onto golden fields, green orchards and clouds that stretched out like cotton, had me dancing with excitement. The truth is, we had already fallen in love with more than just Erin + Tyler’s beautiful outdoor wedding on the Missouri countryside. We instantly connected with them. They were just finishing nursing school, where they met when we met up with them in a small cafe. They are both very real, caring, and down to earth. We were touched when her dad was already getting emotional thinking about his daughter’s wedding. The wedding day did not lack moments they were so open to share with each other.
Erin explains what made the day so memorable for them..
The ceremony was very special to us, as we both love the outdoors and it really reminded us of our country roots. We really wanted to focus on a place that felt like home and where we would feel relaxed. It felt very peaceful on top of that hill, and although windy (haha) it was great to have all our family and friends there! Writing our own vows was probably the best decision we could have made! I really loved being able to tell Tyler exactly what I was going to promise him. And because it was in my own words it really made everything more special and meaningful. We also really enjoyed that one of our friends officiated the ceremony and be such a big part of our lives.
The reception was absolutely beautiful! I feel like the reception area was exactly what I imagined and it was so beautifully decorated. I really liked that there were long tables; they made it feel like a more family atmosphere. Lots of greenery and pops of dark plum, brought a very whimsical and romantic feel to the barn. It felt very relaxing and we were so happy that everyone enjoyed the music and danced right from the get go. Seeing how happy everyone was really makes it worth all the time and effort it takes to plan a wedding.
E+T, you guys are awesome! We are beyond grateful that you invited us into your lives to tell your amazing story.
Erin shares, “My favorite part of the day was seeing Tyler for the first time when we were all dressed up. I feel like your wedding day is full of anticipation and nervous moments, so to finally be able to see the person you feel most comfortable with really helps you relax and feel at ease.”
Advice for couples:
“The best advise I could give is to not sweat the small stuff. There is a lot that goes into planning, so if there is of course something that won’t go as planned. Just relax and remember that at the end of the day- what’s going to happen is what is going to happen- just roll with it. And to write your own vows. You won’t regret it!”
Tyler’s favorite moment is when he saw Erin walk down the aisle. (And of course, when Mr. Roboto came on!)
A special thanks to a wonderful team that helped make this wedding absolutely fabulous!
