Emily+Rob | Elegant Omaha Marriott Downtown Wedding
Elegant and sophisticated, E+R’s Nebraska fall wedding is just what fall would order. Lush with greenery and pops of timeless fall colors, including burgundy, blush, and gold. But color and aesthetic aren’t all that make a wedding special…
Emily explains, Most importantly, we wanted to personalize the wedding and give our guests the “wow factor”. To accomplish that we focused on the details. Everyone got a handmade marble tile with their name on it at the reception and a box of chocolates from a local chocolatier. A display of wedding photos from our parents’ and grandparents’ weddings lay alongside our guest book. We displayed our “movie posters,” which Rob created for me each year of our anniversary, with ticket stubs and posters of all the movies we had seen together that year. And my dad created a slideshow of photos of me and Rob from childhood to present for guests to watch during the cocktail reception.
In the end, it’s the little personal details that make a wedding so special… Emily + Rob, your wedding was just that, intimately personal and specially you. You two are genuine, sincerely kind and unassuming. It’s no surprise that people around you delight in making you happy. And since the moment we met you both, we fell in love with your spirit and chemistry. It has been nothing but a joy to be a part of your story. Much Love, M+R
Emily shares: My favorite part of our day was when my brothers opened the double doors in the back of the church, everyone turned around to look at me, but I was just looking at my soon-to-be husband at the end of the aisle. It was an overwhelming and emotional experience.
Rob shares his favorite part of their day:
When we walked out of the church for the first time as husband + wife and everyone released balloons around us.
E+R’s advice for couples planning their wedding:
Enjoy it! Planning a wedding can be a very stressful process, but once you get to the wedding day, you can take pride in all the hard work you put into it.

E+R’s fabulously fun first dance. Before the wedding, they signed up for ballroom dance lessons and surprised everyone with a choreographed dance to Queen’s “You’re my Best Friend”.
Emily’s parents also surprised them by inviting Billy the Bluejay (Creighton’s mascot) to make an appearance!
